Technology Sourcebook Modules

The technology sourcebook modules are a fantastic teacher resource. The moduleswill give teacher many ideas for technology units and lessons as well as a good way to structure your units. The information is relevent and interesting and i think the students would find the lessons in the modules interesting and engaging. Included in the modules are activities, assessment ideas, outcomes, purpose and overview.



World Book Encyclopedia Series

The world book encyclopedia is the number one selling print encyclopedia in the world. These encyclopedias have coprehensive amounts of information in them on most nearly every topic you can think of. The encyclopedias are constantly upgraded with new volumes being released frequently so the information stays relevent and up to date.



Electronic Devices and Circut Theory

This is a highly acurate and thoroughly updated text book on electricty and electrical devices. The book is supported by strong helpful learning cues and would be an asset to have in the classroom when teaching any subject to do with elcricity and electrical devices. As well as a great teacher resource, students in the upper school levels will find this a helpful text book in dealing with this topic.



The fantastic cutaway book of flight

This book is a fantastic resource for students to engage with. Aim mostly at students in the lower grades upper primary school students will also be fasinated with the attention to detail in the pictures. Featuring numerous cross-section illustrations, an exploration of flying machines, among them helicopters, hot air balloons and some of the most sophisticated military aircraft.



Australian Inventions and Discoveries

This book is a complete guide to many Australian Inventions and discoveries. The book is both usefull and interesting in gaining further knowledge into things that have been invented by Australians to make this world an easier more livable place. The book would be a great technology resource when looking at inventions.

You tube is an excelent resource for technology education. It is a website were you can watch film clips on basically any topic that you would like. I would find it extremely useful in demonstrating a topic in a visual way for all students to be able to see and understand.

This website provides free educational materials for schools and colleges. The site is continually growing and will eventually offer teachers and pupils, materials for all of the Key Stages. The site contains a great amount of technology resources for teachers and students alike.

A very useful website for technology education in ragards to a vast array of topics. As well as a list of categories you can choose along the left hand side of the page you can even type in your own questions and get answers. The site gives comprehensive answers and explinations on how things work and the reasons behind this.

wikepedia is an online encyclopedia service that alows you to research almost any topic or any person just by typing them into the search engine. It is a very usueful tool for teachers and students alike to gain information. Although Wikepedia is a useful site some of the information on it has been proven wrong in the past.

This is the official site for the queensland studdies authority. It is a great resource for teachers as it provides all the information a teacher will need to know in relation to all KLAs. On this site you will find the syllabus as well as source book modules to help with your teaching. Students can also access this site to find what is expected of them in regards to their learning.

This is a website that is purely dedicated to primary school teachers. The site provides teaching ideas and lessons to be used by primary school teachers, not just in technology but all KLA. Although it is a site from the United Kingdom I found that it is still quite relevent to Australian teachers.

Max Lettner - Max Lettner is an IT professional who services computers and computer systems on the Gold Coast. Max works for a respectable It company located here on the coast and has a degree in Information and Technology gained at Griffith University. Jonathon Mason - Jon is a fully qualified Aircraft Engeneer who works for Boeing Australia. Jon completed his apprenticeship in 2006 and has been working for the company and has been working with the company for over 2 years. He specialises structures work and does maintanence on the outer shells of the aircraft. At present he is currently contracted to the department of defence working on some new defence force aircraft. Jon has a sound knowledge of aircraft and the physics of how they fly. He would be an excelent resource to use when doing a topic on flight or aircraft.
